Today Peter R. de Vries died. I am sad about it. I did not know him personally, but I have been following his work since I was a young girl and he helped to solve a murder case that took place in Suriname in the 90’s. He was intriguing. He was passionate about his work as a crime investigator. He was a rock for so many people who did not have anyone else but him by their side. Once he put his teeth in a case, he was determined to finish it, because he was a fighter for justice. I admired his passion, his dedication, perseverance and guts! He was a ‘what you see is what you get’ kinda guy. Peter was shot down in the streets of Amsterdam, after an ordinary day at work. It’s not fair that he was taken from this world in this way. But now you’re a star in heaven Peter, fly high! May your soul rest in peace. Condolences to his partner, kids, family, friends and fans all over the world.
